Our son, Eli Alexander Day, was born sleeping on January 14, 2023. Our pregnancy had been smooth and uncomplicated, so his loss was entirely unexpected. When I noticed a decrease in his movements, I went to the hospital, where we received the heartbreaking news that there was no heartbeat. The next day, I was scheduled for an induction and gave birth to Eli at just 28 weeks.
Losing a child is the hardest thing any parent can imagine. I felt lost, with no one to turn to and no one who truly understood what I was going through. Therapy helped, but it wasn't the same. I longed to share my story with someone who had been through a similar experience. My friends, though supportive, struggled to discuss it because it was a sensitive subject they couldn't relate to. But I wanted to talk about Eli, to say his name out loud, and to share his story like any mother would.
Through this organization, I want to give mothers and families a space to share their stories and say their children's names. I want to create a sense of community for parents on this healing journey. My goal is to help families keep the memories of their angel babies alive.
Our mission is to provide compassionate support and resources to families enduring pregnancy and infant loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and SIDS . We strive to raise awareness for those who have suffered a loss, promote open dialogue, and break the silence surrounding this profound grief. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to honor the memories of our angels, offer solace to grieving families, and foster a society that understands and supports the journey of healing. We are dedicated to ensuring no family walks this path alone, lighting the way with hope, empathy, and unwavering support.
